The registration period of the AIDA pool world championships 2016 is closing. By the end of the registration period almost 100 athletes from 21 countries has signed in for the main even of pool diving. This season we have already seen many massive dives from athletes all over the world and we are expecting a tough and high level competition.
The Freediving Finnish Open 2016 was held in the beginning of April at the same venue as the worlds and the numerous personal bests and many national records are a solid proof of the pool conditions.

I am honoured to welcome the world’s topmost freedivers to Turku. The World Championships in freediving are organised in June for the first time in Finland, so it is a particular honour to act as the host city.
